Senior Commercial Officer

Job Introduction

To support the Commercial function in its role of leading customer contract negotiation and management.

Role Responsibility

Principal Accountabilities:

• To lead the commercial aspects of tendering new work, with support from Commercial Manager as required.
• To have principal involvement in the running of existing contracts from a commercial perspective, including change control, checking reporting and contract closeout.
• To support Commercial Managers as required in the day to day commercial functional requirements.
• To liaise with accounts, bids team, delivery teams and customers in running simple contracts and bids.
• To negotiate and place new customer contracts within specified delegated authorities.
• To support internal business processes as required to ensure best possible quality commercial service for the business.
• To support presentation of commercial aspects of new tenders to NNL senior management for approvals in accordance with delegated authorities

Authorities & Dimensions:

Approval of proposals to new customers within a defined delegated authority limit and agreement of contractual position within defined boundaries. Delegated authority limits will feed into a larger, collective set of delegations held by various levels of the organisation.

The Ideal Candidate

Demonstrable experience in a similar role. Prefer degree level qualification, but not essential.
