Job Description for Project Support Officer:

As part of our Project Management Authority, you’ll play a critical role in managing projects that deliver nuclear science to benefit society. Your project management skills and attention to detail will enable industry-leading scientists, engineers and analysts to work together to deliver unique projects using cutting edge technology. It’s a challenging role but it’s an opportunity to grow, adapt and develop new skills in a fast-moving area.

This new post will support the Camila Customer Workstream lead in ensuring:

  • Camila delivery standards are attained and maintained.
  • The Camila teams performance is visible at all times.
  • The Camila teams capacity is monitored and visible at all times. This new post will support the PMA.

Role Responsibility

Main Responsibilities for Project Support Officer:

Taking direction from the Camila Customer Workstream lead, the post will ensure that:

  • Organising / minuting meetings, distributing documents etc.
  • Control of the Camila registers.
  • Control of the Portfolio performance report.
  • Control of the Change control register at portfolio level.   
     (Entire Projects imported or exported).
  • Control / policing of the of the Camila Project filing shared area.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential Criteria for Project Support Officer:

  • Experience of working in a project delivery environment.
  • Some knowledge of Document Control systems, processes and methodologies.
  • General IT skills and ability to use Microsoft Office tools & systems.
  • Ability to obtain SC level security clearance (this includes but is not limited to identity, employment, financial and criminal record checks plus 5 years’ worth of UK residency).

Desirable Criteria for Project Support Officer:

  • Experience of working alongside Project Managers, Project Controls, EHSS&Q and other key functions.
