Embedded into the HR function, we are looking for someone who can first line advisory support to our employees and line managers within the business. Working in a small support team, you will provide HR generalist support to our employees as the first point of contact. If you are a problem solver, can keep a calm head under pressure and you want to be part of rolling your sleeves up and making a considerable impact, this could be the HR role for you.

As a HR Associate you will play a key role in the HR Support Team; responsible for delivering an excellent level of service to our internal and external customers. 

As the first line advisory support to our employees and line managers within the business, you will work with a team of other HR Associates to deliver timely and high-quality assistance as a first point of contact for HR-related queries. 

 From being involved with process improvements, procedural reviews, the ability to participate in HR projects and supporting our employees through the HR life cycle; this is a varied role that will play a key part in building our HR Support Team to its full potential.

Main Responsibilities for Human Resources Associate (FTC - 12 months):

  • Process documentation and transactions in accordance with service requirements.
  • Organise, maintain and update personnel records in line with GDPR.
  • Preparing HR documents such as employment contracts, contractual changes and guidance for employees.
  • Work with HR data reports and provide HR metrics to our internal customers.
  • Ensuring internal databases are maintained and updated, including our Internal Management System of documents.
  • Providing excellent customer service and being the first line support for HR queries relating received by email and telephone.
  • Provide support across a range of HR processes which include onboarding, absences, leavers and all other HR tasks.
  • Maintain process flows and user guide documentation for HR processes.
  • Participate in project delivery within the HR team.
  • Proactively recommend and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with and contribute to risk management, governance and assurance processes in HR.

Essential Criteria for Human Resources Associate (FTC - 12 months):

  • Experience of working within HR.
  • Confident in MS Office including Word and Excel in particular.
  • Good organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills with enthusiasm to deliver excellent customer service.
  • A willingness and determination to learn.
  • Able to work on own initiative and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to obtain BPSS level security clearance (this includes but is not limited to identity, employment and criminal record checks).

Desirable Criteria  for Human Resources Associate (FTC - 12 months):

  • CIPD qualification or working towards.
  • Experience of working with Business World ERP System.
