Apprenticeship Scheme 2022 – Business Administration Apprenticeship (Level 3)

To join the NNL apprenticeship scheme you’ll already have a good academic background and should have attained, or be on track to achieving 5 GCSE's A-C (New Grading 9-4) including Maths & English. You will be 16 or over by September 2022. 

To be eligible for this apprenticeship you must:

  • Not be enrolled on another funded apprenticeship or another funded further education or higher education programme at the time you start your new apprenticeship.
  • Only apply if the Business Administrator, Level: 3 standard, is unrelated to any qualifications you already hold at the same or higher level. The apprenticeship you are applying for must be unrelated in subject and content from the qualification you already hold. 

You will have the right to work in the UK be able to achieve able to obtain BPSS level security clearance (this includes but is not limited to identity, employment and criminal record checks).

The Ideal Candidate

Discover our Business Administration Apprenticeship

We are looking for Business Administration apprentices who have a highly transferable set of knowledge, skills and behaviours that can be applied with the nuclear sector. The role will involve working independently as well as part of a team and will involve developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services. The role will also involve developing your key skills and behaviours to support and enhance your own progression towards management responsibilities.

You will support and engage with different parts of the organisation and interact with our internal and external customers. With a focus on adding value, you will contribute to the efficiency of the service that NNL provides, through support of functional areas, working across our teams and resolving issues as and when requested.

You will deliver your responsibilities with efficiently and integrity – showing a positive attitude. The role involves demonstrating strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and adopting a proactive approach to developing and enhancing your own skill set. You should have the ability to show initiative, managing priorities and own time, problem-solving skills and decision-making.

Qualification you will obtain

On this apprenticeship you will be following the Business Administrator, Level: 3 standard.

To welcome you into the business, your programme will start with a tailored induction. This will give you an understanding of the business, the programme you will follow and what we’ll expect from you during your apprenticeship. Following your induction, you’ll be supported through your apprenticeship journey focusing on personal development. This covers a range of skills from time management to team working. We’ll learn about you together.

We even have a dedicated apprentice advisor who is there to ensure that you are settling into your apprenticeship at NNL, both in the workplace and at college.

As part of the selection process for the apprenticeship programme you should expect to complete online ability assessments. Successful candidates will be invited to attend an assessment centre which will assess technical and behavioural competencies. The assessment centre for this role will be held April 2022.

If successful you will receive a conditional offer of employment, you will also be required to achieve the appropriate security and medical clearances.

You will start your apprenticeship scheme on the 5th September 2022.
