Responsible for a number of key finance processes and to provide support across others.  Working closely with Business Finance, Procurement and Project Managers to ensure the efficient and accurate recording and payment of supplier invoices and employee expenses.

Role Responsibility

Main Responsibilities for Finance Assistant:

• To process supplier invoices onto the ERP system.
• To process and log all payments to one-off suppliers.
• To raise customer sales invoices and credit notes.
• To monitor and manage all internal and external invoice queries. 
• To monitor and report process compliance. 
• To support the Corporate Finance Manager with Internal and External Audits.
• To process employee expense claims ensuring compliance with company policy.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential Criteria for Finance Assistant:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Understanding of double entry book keeping.
• Must be diligent and use own initiative.
• Attention to detail.
• Proactive, highly motivated and enthusiastic.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships within the finance team and across the business.
• Ability to obtain BPSS level security clearance (this includes but is not limited to identity, employment and criminal record checks). 

Desirable Criteria for Finance Assistant:

• Knowledge of major Finance ERP systems (Business World would be ideal).
