The ERP Systems Analyst will support the ERP Systems Lead in the day-to-day management of Business World ERP (Unit4) system. They will analyse business change requests, implement the required configuration changes, updates and provide troubleshooting and problem management for the platform.

NNL is planning to embark journey on upgrading to a cloud-based ERP system and you will play an important role in its success. It’s a unique opportunity to work, learn and grow with a growing IT team, manage, and support the ERP solutions, enabling NNL to pursue IT modernisation agenda.

Role Responsibility

Main Description for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System Analyst:

  • Accountable for understanding the business requirements, ERP system components and functionalities.
  • Support the management of ERP lifecycle, upgrades, or configuration changes in line with good industry practice and NNL governance processes.
  • Contribute to the development, configuration, optimisation and automation of processes. 
  • Contribute to the appropriate steering groups and CAB for ERP.
  • Undertake the appropriate developments, test, and QA for changes in ERP. 
  • Work with the ERP System Lead and other Architects in maintaining the applications roadmaps and lifecycle.
  • Support the creation of Service Transition documents required for ERP changes and upgrades.
  • Support the Service Delivery function in supporting end users and troubleshooting problems. 
  • Handle escalations from the IT Service Delivery function.
  • Provide support for other applications as required.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential Criteria for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System Analyst:

  • Have a good understanding of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and knowledge of some functional modules - Demonstrable track record and experience in an ERP application support role.
  • Demonstrable experience of similar position/role or working within established IT department.
  • Ability to understand and influence were applicable key stakeholders.
  • Produce quality documentation and visual design skills (such as high-level designs).
  • Able to work in an agile way: role will require a combination of business analysis, technical understanding and communication skills.
  • Experienced in the development, configuration, optimisation and automation within ERP.
  • Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise.
  • Ability to obtain SC level security clearance (this includes but is not limited to identity, employment, financial and criminal record checks plus 5 years’ worth of UK residency).

Desirable Criteria for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System Analyst:

  • Experience of Business World ERP (Unit4) system and its various functionality, including data structure.
  • Demonstrable experience in information technology sector.
  • Experience in the provision of IT end-user training.
  • Articulate, clear, and concise communicator, with good presentation skills.
  • Able to grasp new technical concept quickly, learn it, adjust with changing requirements and work in agile manner independently.
  • Some understanding of SDLC’s and an understanding of when to apply each.
  • Experience of working with third-party suppliers and partners.
  • Experience of working in accredited / regulated environments and required documentation, with knowledge of balancing business benefit with technology risk.
  • Experience of working with ERP cloud migrations and have a good understanding of cloud technologies. 
  • SQL development and reporting experience.
