Commissioning Engineer
Job Introduction
The Commissioning Engineer must be able to work as a member of a multi disciplined team to carry out testing activities in a safe and effective manner, in line with the NNL and Sellafield standards and supporting arrangements.
Role Responsibility
Key Responsibilities:

Safely carry out all commissioning testing activities throughout all stages of commissioning.

Identification of installation and design faults and the ability to propose and implement solutions.

Production of commissioning test documentation.
-
Ability to be a Nominated Person (Electrical, Control System, Mechanical).

Carry out Pre-Commissioning inspections.
-
Demonstration of Plant knowledge.
-
Initiation and implementation of Fault Records / Technical Queries.
-
Application of Temporary Commissioning Aids.
-
Witnessing of Test Activities.
-
Input to Risk Assessments
Key Accountabilities:

To work with and provide support to commissioning colleagues and personnel involved in other disciplines

To work alongside other members of the project management department to:
-
Promote a positive health and safety culture.
-
To improve project delivery performance and to meet company targets.
-
To achieve accurate recording of test results in an auditable manner to satisfy internal and external auditors.

To support the Commissioning Team Leader / Commissioning Manager.

To comply with the NNL / Sellafield Commissioning Standards.

To comply with the NNL / Sellafield Site Procedures.

The Ideal Candidate
Essential Skills/Qualifications:
ONC in related Engineering discipline
Significant and appropriate experience as a Mechanical, Instrument / Electrical Commissioning Engineer
Ability to understand technical solutions that are pragmatic and can be delivered on plant
Good working knowledge of technology.
Excellent communication skills
Good track record in delivering work
Desirable Skills/Qualifications:
HNC/HND in related Engineering discipline
Time Served Indentured Engineering Apprenticeship
