Business Readiness Training Lead

Business Readiness is a key area for T&DC as we continue to deliver business impacting change initiatives (including CAMILA).  Change can only effectively be delivered if the full impact of change on the user is understood, and embedded.  The Business Readiness Training Lead will ultimately be accountable for coordinating and delivering all T&DC related training, as well as working alongside the Business Change Lead, ensuring that all wider business change is successfully embedded in the business and benefits come to fruition, in line with business objectives. 

Role Responsibility

Main Responsibilities for Business Readiness Training Lead:

  • Undertake change impact analysis and develop deployment plans that consider the impact of change on the end user.
  • Develop appropriate communication plans, help define training needs, and post go live support models to ensure that the change deployed is sustainable and embedded. 
  • Working with Change benefit owners / key stakeholders to ensure benefits are clearly defined, agreed, measured and achieved during the entire project lifecycle.
  • Champion of the Change Management process for IT, ensuring that knowledge of change processes is communicated to business stakeholders as and when required.
  • Working with a Demand and Release Manager, PMO, and Business Analysts to assess project training requirements and designing training material / programmes to embed this change into the business.
  • Review existing, and design and develop, new training material and templates.
  • Provide training to all levels of stakeholder, via the most appropriate channel(s) including face to face and remote training.
  • Work with the Demand and Release Manager and Project Managers to form rollout plans to ensure a suitable amount of business change.
  • Train up Digital Champions i.e. ‘train the trainer’ and ensure a consistent level of quality across training delivery/ support.
  • Provide Post Go Live training support and mentoring, where required.
  • Create, maintain and embed Business Change and Training Strategies.
  • Third party supplier support when required, ensuring material and delivery is at a high and consistent level.
  • Work with the wider PMO to continuously improve our training processes, tools and techniques to provide a leading-edge service.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential Criteria for Business Readiness Training Lead:

  • Good working knowledge of technical IT disciplines.
  • Comfortable managing multiple third party and external industry, regulatory and statutory stakeholders and obligations.
  • Demonstrable experience in:
    • Both face to face and remote training;
    • Training large groups (~100), small groups and one to ones;
    • Train the trainer;
    • Designing, developing and quality assuring training material;
    • Complex system training;
    • Training executive level staff.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills and the ability to build relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Effective time management skills; with the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritising tasks, shifting priorities in accordance with fluctuating workloads and deadline pressures.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to obtain BPSS level security clearance (this includes but is not limited to identity, employment and criminal record checks).

Desirable Criteria for Business Readiness Training Lead:

  • Demonstrable experience in a Change Management Role within IT.
